         Father Daniel Radu was born in Fagaras ( Brasov County), Romania, in 1981. After completing his primary and secondary education, he pursued theological studies at the Theological Seminary in Făgăraș from 1997 to 2002. He then continued his formation at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Sibiu, where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Pastoral Theology in 2006, followed by a Master’s Degree in the Writings and Teachings of the Holy Fathers - Patrology in 2008.

          In 2011, Father Daniel began his ministry in the United States as a church chanter, faithfully serving for ten years at "Saint Nicholas Church " in Troy, Michigan, and "Saints Peter and Paul Church" in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. On September 2021, through the grace of God and the laying on of hands by His Grace Bishop Andrei, he was ordained first to the diaconate and then to the holy priesthood. His pastoral ministry has since included service as Assistant Priest at the "Descent of the Holy Spirit Church" in Warren, Michigan, and as Interim Parish Priest at "St. George Cathedral"  in Southfield, Michigan.

         Since December 2023, Father Daniel has served as Parish Priest of the "Descent of the Holy Ghost Orthodox Church"  in Merrillville, Indiana. In this role, he is devoted to the spiritual care of the faithful, the celebration of the Holy Mysteries, and the strengthening of parish life.

          Father Daniel loves reading, enjoys collecting editions of the Holy Bible, classical music and finds joy in traveling with his family . He is married to Preoteasa  Simona, a social worker, and together they are blessed with two sons, Thomas and Philip.
